Our full day Turner river kayak trip starts in a freshwater ecosystem and ends up in the saltwater estuary of the 10,000 Islands. On this trip you can look for wading birds, turtles, alligators, orchids, dolphins, manatees, jumping fish, diving osprey, and much more! We will paddle through a series of winding mangrove tunnels that pop out into isolated lakes as we head south. After these lakes we will be paddling among the grasslands of Big Cypress National Preserve, where we will stop for a delicious lunch. After lunch, we will head into more tunnels and lakes that pour into the Turner River. We will see our ending spot Chokoloskee Island in the distance as we paddle to the beginning of the 10,000 Islands. This is a 12-mile extensive paddle that is not designed for everyone. If you are looking for a trip that most people don’t get to do and want to see the “Real Everglades” then give us a call so we can take you on this amazing trip! We also offer a shorter version of this tour which is an out-and-back for those who want a full day experience, but don't feel that paddling 12 miles is for them.
